Previously, the people respect the force of nature and celebrate the cycle of the seasons and phases of the moon. Nowadays we continue celebrating the same things. For most of wiccans which follow the wicca religion, all of nature are true aspects of divinity. The wicca had its beginnings in Paleolithic times and had a profound influence on Christianity. The Wicca faith became illegal since the middle ages because of the persecution of witches and now it began to be practiced in small groups called ¨covens¨. To the most of wiccans kept it hidden until very recently(but that doesn´t mean that we are going to be discarded like no faith).
Wiccans tend to be strong environmental advocates, equal rights, peace and religious freedom and sometimes the magic can be used for a purpose.(but we never can use us magic for personal game,this is illegal and the wicca can be expelled from the coven). Wiccans tend to be individuals and it´s not necessary to have book,prophet or church authority. They are inspired on science and personal experience. Remember, you need to have a book of shadows or grimoire to register your spells, potions, dreams, recipes, songs, poems, verses and others.
